The glass studio, located in the old glass factory, is part of the museum display. Glassmakers Pavel Hasala and Christoph Hübner vividly demonstrate their skills and craft. Under professional supervision (and without making a reservation) visitors have the opportunity to blow a glass ball (€8/piece).
Next to the museum is an oven, made by Falorni, which is available for glassmaking courses. More information about glassmaking courses can be found here ->
Glassblowers, artists and lay people can rent the studio for their own projects, working on their own or assisted by local glassblowers. Costs will vary according to requirements.
Tariff 1: For experienced craftspeople without assistance from local glassblowers.
€ 35 per hour + VAT + € 5 tool rental (per day/optional) + € 20 rental for softening furnace per day (optional) + € 4 per kilogram glass + VAT
Working hours: Tuesday to Friday 10am to 5pm– or by special agreement
Tariff 2: For clients working with the assistance of local glassblowers
This option is suitable for artists who require the glassblower’s skills to turn their ideas into reality.
€ 60 per hour + VAT + € 5 tool rental (per day/optional) + € 20 rental for softening furnace per day (optional) + € 4 per kilogram glass + VAT
Working hours: Tuesday to Friday 10am to 5pm. Additional times possible by agreement.
